For small businesses

Time clock for small businesses

A handful of employees, maybe a few dozen. No HR manager, and the owner adds up the hours. RayClock does it without a clock on the wall, without a technician and without a spreadsheet at month-end.

What a small business needs from a time clock

No hardware to buy

Employees clock in from their phone — in the Android or iPhone app or the browser — or from a computer. No clock to buy and no software to install. If you want a station at the door, you can add an NFC tag or card later.

Up and running the same day

Sign up, pick a work profile, add an employee and send an invitation. Once they clock in, it works. Add the rest later, one by one or from an Excel file. The steps are in the setup guide.

Calculated by Israeli law

Break deductions, overtime at 125% and 150%, and Shabbat and holiday rates by the Hebrew calendar — calculated for every day. No formulas to maintain.

A payroll file, not retyping

At month-end you lock and export to payroll: a file for Shiklulit, or an Excel/CSV template for another payroll system. Your accountant can download it themselves from the free accountant panel.

What it costs a small business

The price is per active employee per month. There is no setup fee and no minimum number of employees. The tier is set by team size and applies to every employee. Prices exclude VAT.

Active employeesPrice per employee per monthTotal per month
5₪14₪70
10₪14₪140
15₪13₪195
25₪12₪300
40₪11₪440

With yearly billing you pay upfront for 10 months instead of 12. An employee who left and is marked inactive is not counted. NFC tags and cards and the Form 101 service are billed separately. All tiers are on the pricing page.

What the owner actually does each month

  1. During the monthEmployees clock in and out. You are alerted to a punch left open or a day with no report, and fix it the same day — with a reason that is kept in the log.
  2. Leave and sick daysAn employee requests leave, you approve it. The absence goes into the report and the leave balance updates.
  3. At month-endGo over the monthly report, close anything still open, lock the month and download the payroll file — or leave that to your accountant.

Small businesses must keep records too

The Hours of Work and Rest Law and Amendment 24 to the Wage Protection Law apply to every employer, even with one employee — there is no exemption by business size. You must keep an ongoing record of working hours, and in an overtime claim where the employer shows no records, the burden of proof shifts to the employer. Digital records made in real time, with every correction logged, are the simple way to meet this.

This is general information, not legal advice. A collective agreement, extension order or personal contract may give additional rights.

Questions from small business owners

Is there a minimum number of employees or a minimum price?

No. You pay by the number of active employees: up to 10 employees it is ₪14 per employee per month, so 5 employees cost ₪70 a month before VAT. There is no setup fee.

Do I need to buy a time clock or a tablet?

No. Clocking in from a phone or computer is included and works from day one. NFC tags and cards are an option if you want a station at the door, and they are ordered separately.

How long does setup take?

Sign up, confirm your email, pick a work profile, add an employee and send an invitation. As soon as they choose a password they can clock in. You can start with one employee and add the rest later.

Does my accountant have to use the system?

No. You download the payroll file and send it. If you like, you can invite them to the free accountant panel, where they see when the month is locked and download the files themselves — read-only.

I have seasonal staff. Do I pay for them all year?

No. You pay for employees who are active at billing time. Mark an employee who has finished working as inactive, and they are not counted.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time, and the subscription stays available until the end of the paid period.
